This World Will Fail Us

Life will fail us.

Our whole lives will invest in things, love people, work for things, do hard things, mess-up then get better, and do all sorts of things for this world. But this world will fail us. There will be suffering and misunderstanding. There will be heartbreak. There will pain. Because this life cannot satisfy.

Like I said,  life will always fail us.

Don’t take me wrong because life is a gift. It’s a wonderous beautiful gift from the Lord. But the things of this world and the things of this life will fail us.

This is because we live in a world corrupted by our own sin, yet when we are in Christ Jesus He is our life not this world. Yet there will trials still for we in a world entirely not our own.

“If I discover within myself a desire which no experience in  this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for  another world”–C.S. Lewis

Yes, this world is not our home. Yet we are here. And we will suffer here. But we are called to fight.

“Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
(1 Peter 5:9-10 ESV)

For:

” Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.”
 (2 Peter 1:10 ESV)

There is so much suffering in this life. There is so much failure. But let us just know that we are weak people ruined by the pain of this world and he is the strength that will help us to continue to fight until the end of this age.

If we run free in the hope of the gospel of our Lord Jesus and if we fight against the demons and temptations of this life with the strength of Christ Jesus: we will never fall.

This world will fail us. Jesus Christ will never ever ever ever fail us….ever.
